DIGI Spain (DIGI), the telecommunications operator belonging to the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, is hosting its 12th Open Day – Recruitment Event in Madrid on Thursday, October 22. The event aims to fill 50 vacancies within the company’s Commercial division in the Madrid region.
The company is organizing this event to ensure that as many interested individuals as possible—regardless of whether they have prior experience in the sales sector—can apply for these positions. Attendees will have the chance to participate in an initial in-person interview, an opportunity not always readily available to job seekers.
DIGI’s 12th Open Day – Recruitment Event will take place in Madrid on Thursday, October 22, at the following location:
The Mun Hub
Calle Tomás Bretón, 20 (28045 - Madrid)
Metro: Delicias
Cercanías (commuter rail): Delicias and Atocha
EMT Buses: Delicias-Cáceres stop (5036)
Time: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Candidates interested in meeting with DIGI’s Human Resources professionals can book a personal interview by registering for the event via this link no later than 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 21.
Individuals who arrive without prior registration may also submit their CVs and be interviewed; however, they will need to wait for their turn, which will be determined strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Immediate hiring and training program
Anyone interested in developing a professional career in the commercial sector at DIGI is eligible to apply for these vacancies. The company’s recruitment specialists will interview all attendees—whether they have previous experience in similar roles, are looking to pivot their careers from other fields, or have no prior work experience and are seeking their first job in a commercial role.
Once the selection process is complete, and in line with its commitment to direct employment, DIGI will offer successful candidates an immediate contractual position within the company. This includes an initial theoretical and practical training program—known as the "Mentor Program"—for those without prior experience, designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties associated with each role.
“These sessions are an effective tool that energizes the selection processes we conduct within the Human Resources department. They allow candidates to experience our company firsthand—as well as the specific area where the role is based—which reinforces their motivation to join our team. Over the eleven editions of these ‘Open Days’ held to date, more than 550 applicants have participated, with over 50% being selected to fill the various available positions,” notes Virginia Guerrero, HR Director at DIGI Spain.
Direct employment in Madrid
The operator—already the second-largest employer in Spain—carries out all its business activities using its own direct staff, offering job stability and fostering career development plans for all its employees.
Currently, DIGI has over 11,900 employees nationwide, more than 4,300 of whom are based in the Community of Madrid. This region is home to the company’s headquarters, as well as one of its three customer service centres in Spain (the others being located in Seville and Valencia).
Side activities
In addition to individual interviews, DIGI’s 12th Open Day – Recruitment Event will feature presentations by professionals from the company’s Human Resources and Commercial departments.
During these sessions, candidates will not only learn about the specifics of the available job openings and what the day-to-day work entails, but they will also gain insight into the "Mentor Program"—an initiative implemented by the company in 2024. This plan is designed to support selected candidates who lack prior professional experience in the sales sector.
