DIGI Spain (DIGI), the telecommunications operator of the DIGI Communications Group in Spain, will begin to show, starting tomorrow, the “Llamada comercial” ("Commercial Call") notice on the mobile screen of its customers, when they receive calls from numbers starting with 400, which is the telephone prefix recently authorized in Spain for making commercial calls to end users.
This initiative is framed in the context of the implementation of the measure promoted by the Ministerio para la Transformación Digital y de la Función Pública (Ministry for Digital and Civil Service Transformation), whereby, from tomorrow, October 17, companies that make commercial calls must be identified by numbers starting with 400, with the objective of facilitating their recognition on the part of users.
In this way, with the label “Llamada comercial” introduced by DIGI to identify the calls made from the 400 prefix, the operator takes one more step, facilitating the identification of this type of call, so that their clients have greater information and control over the calls they receive and can decide whether or not to answer them.
This measure also applies to commercial calls made by DIGI. So, for example, when clients or users interested in DIGI services request that the operator contact them through the "Te llamamos" (“We call you”) button on their website, they will receive a DIGI call from a number starting with 400.
In this sense, the most recurring numbers of salient calls from DIGI will be the following: 400 120 120; 400 120 122; 400 120 131; and 400 120 134. Likewise, DIGI clients will be able to easily identify the calls they receive from the operator, as the "DIGI" label will appear on their devices' screens.
DIGI, committed to the protection of its clients
DIGI continues to strengthen its commitment with its clients through different solutions so that they can use the telephone services with greater tranquillity and security.
In this way, the operator incorporated already in August of 2026 the notice “Posible spam” ("Possible spam") on the mobile screen of its clients, so that these would have more information before answering an unwanted or malicious call.
In addition, DIGI has already blocked more than 4.5 million fraudulent communications, in accordance with the Ministerial Order to combat impersonation and communications scams, before they reach the telephone of their clients.
To this is added the Cybersecurity section that the operator dedicates in its blog, through which it makes available to their clients and all users of new technologies, periodic information and concrete recommendations, to help them identify the most common fraudulent practices and know the main prevention measures.
DIGI also reminds its clients that they never request banking data or passwords by phone, SMS, email or WhatsApp, nor contact them to communicate increases in the price of the rates they have contracted or to notify them of a cut in their fibre service during months. In addition, all the official pages of DIGI use the domain digimobil.es and any communication is carried out exclusively through its official channels.
